Dr. Allen is a private-pay, out-of-network (OON) provider. This means he does not bill insurance companies directly. However, many insurance plans include out-of-network benefits that can reimburse a significant portion of your session fees.
Look for terms like “POS”, “PPO”, or “out-of-network” on your insurance card—these typically indicate you have OON benefits that can be used toward reimbursement.
Dr. Allen partners with Thrizer to simplify the insurance reimbursement process and provides monthly superbills for clients who prefer to submit claims directly.
Breakdown: $36 copay (20% of $180) + $70 difference ($250 − $180). Actual amounts vary by plan.
